Beyond Polysecure and The Ethical Slut which polyamory books should people actually read? New titles on non-monogamy come out constantly now, and most recommendation lists cycle through the same handful of names.

My Goodreads virtual library currently includes 82 titles focused on non-monogamy, 40+ of which are also on my physical bookshelf.

I actively seek out both established and contemporary writing on non-monogamy, including independent publications and zines that are often overlooked by mainstream publishers. I also regularly attend zine fairs and collect works that introduce new perspectives, challenge conventional assumptions, and expand the conversation around non-monogamy.

I also receive review copies from publishers, which gives me the opportunity to engage with new work as it enters the field. My approach to these books is informed by my background degree in English, and decolonial theory, as well as my experience as a polyamory coach and educator.

The list below brings together the books I most recommend, ranging from accessible introductions for people new to non-monogamy to more advanced works for experienced practitioners, educators, and anyone looking to engage more critically with the subject.
